Provide strategic financial leadership and executive stewardship across Greenwave Society. As a growing youth-led social enterprise and think tank, we balance transparent donor fund accountability with earned revenue streams and lean operational design. The CFO anchors our fiscal discipline, budget governance, risk management, and capital allocation to ensure long-term viability and impact for Kenyan youth.
Accountability
What you will own
Design, implement, and steward financial systems, internal accounting controls, and operating budgets across all programs.
Oversee statutory compliance, tax obligations, financial disclosures, and risk governance under Kenyan law and social enterprise standards.
Lead strategic financial planning for grant acquisitions, donor fund accountability, earned-revenue initiatives, and grassroots program allocations.
Provide executive-level financial reporting, quarterly statements, cash-flow projections, and fiscal analysis for the Board, CEO, and leadership team.
Institute zero-tolerance internal fraud prevention, procurement transparency, and sustainable treasury management.
Collaborate with the CEO, COO, and Partnerships Lead on resource mobilization, partner co-investments, and long-term sustainability models.
- •Professional qualification in accounting, finance, or economics (CPA-K, ACCA, CFA, or relevant degree/diploma).
- •Familiarity with non-profit, social enterprise, or donor-funded reporting standards in Kenya (KRA, NGO Board, statutory filings).
- •High fiduciary ethics, zero-compromise transparency, and a passion for mentoring young leaders.
